Nitrile， also known as Buna-N or nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)， is one of the most oil-resistant types of rubber. Therefore， it is one of the best materials for creating industrial seals and gaskets since so many industrial applications work within close vicinities to petroleum and other oil-based materials. Nitrile outstands in its ability to handle extended periods of exposure to oil.This nitrile sheet has a durometer ranging between 55 and 65 Shore A. On average， this nitrile rubber sheet has a durometer of 60 Shore A. At this moderate durometer， nitrile has a strong structure while maintaining the degree of flexibility most consumers expect out of nitrile products. In addition to the nitrile material that comprises the majority of these NBR sheets， these sheets are blended with neoprene and SBR-rubber compounds which each offers its own unique set of properties. This Buna-N sheet has a smooth finish， and it comes in black. It inherently resists ozone， moisture， impacts， abrasion， and oils. Its smooth finish makes it excellent for creating airtight seals， minimizes the likelihood that these nitrile sheets will have any gaps along their surfaces that allow pressure to escape.
